NOTICE OF MEETING
TO DISCUSS FUTURE OF BOWLS HASTINGS COMPLEX
PRESIDENTS of Hawke’s Bay Bowling Clubs and interested persons:
(Bowlers, sponsors, general supporters of bowls – all interested) are invited to meet at the Bowls Hastings Complex this Thursday 15th May at 5.30pm.
PURPOSE OF MEETING:
- To Present a report on the present situation as to occupation of the Complex;
- To discuss alternatives for continued occupation of the complex – purchase – lease (with contributions to rental by HB Clubs) – sharing with other community groups.
- To canvass discuss and explain occupancy and operation of Complex by wider Hawke’s Bay Bowls Community (Bowls Hawke’s Bay, all Hawke’s Bay Clubs) – rather than occupation by one club [Bowls Hastings].
- To discuss, and canvass opportunities for contributions to rental, operation of Complex [including perhaps appointment of Complex Manager – in principle, not appointment of specific person], Championships and Competitions.
Dave Porteous will explain current operation of existing Incorporated Society and its possible adaption to suggested options and proposals
There will be ample opportunity for discussion, presentation of ideas and proposals and alternatives perhaps not yet considered.
Come prepared to contribute to discussions. Bowlers generally, and Clubs in particular, have expressed dismay at the possible loss of the Complex to the Bowls Community. This your opportunity to ensure its survival.
Paul Terry, President Bowls Hastings Incorporated
